I just did another video review of three important recent trials for you.

Publication #1: Talks about the rising incidence of atrial fibrillation over the last 50 years.

(Schnabel, RB, Yin, X, Gona, P, et al. 2015. 50 year trends in atrial fibrillation prevalance, incidence, risk factors, and mortality in the Framingham Heart Study: a cohort study. Lancet. 386: 154–162.)

Publication #2: Compares transcatheter aortic valves versus surgically implanted valves in low-risk patients with aortic stenosis.

(Thyregod, HGH, Steinbrüchel, DA, Ihlemannn, N, et al. 2015. Transcatheter versus surgical aortic valve replacement in patients with severe aortic valve stenosis: 1-year results from the all-comers NOTION randomized clinical trial. J Am Coll Cardiol. 65: 2184–2194.)

Publication #3: Looks at clopidogrel of 6 weeks versus 6 months in patients who are already on anticoagulation and aspirin following stent implantation.

(Fiedler, KA, Maeng, M, Mehilli, J, et al. 2015. Duration of triple therapy in patients requiring oral anticoagulation after drug-eluting stent implantation: The ISAR-TRIPLE trial. J Am Coll Cardiol. 65: 1619–1629.)
